The eBay typo is extremely useful because I realize that even if I spell the word correctly, the seller might not spell it correctly. The lack of standard spelling actually makes it more of a headache to search through eBay. The graphical thumbnail of the webpages that get pulled up in the result is a nice touch.
It took me a second to figure out where to start my search, the page is a bit too "wordy" and therefore a bit distracting. The Ebay Typo is awesome, worked quickly with great results, I wish Ebay already had this feature built in, actually no I don't because then everyone would uncover mistakes that result in HUGE deals. I will definitely return to this site for that alone. When I went to run a regular search it took forever to process compared to the Ebay Typo, but honestly the Ebay Typo make's up for it.
This is really cool! I'm bookmarking this. Worked well.
This site is great for searching. It got me my information fast and without all that junk to sort through!
Excellent! Very easy to use, the SlashMySearch.com logo is very cool. Keep up the great work! I've set it as my favorites and also for my homepage. Thanks!
I searched on "diesel van" for ebay and ebay typo. I like the typo search, though it appeared no one misspelled "diesel van" The suggestions feature was also a nice surprise. I searched on "robotic" and got the suggestions then selected "robotic arm" Lots of good things came up. Much better than the yahoo or google searches. I have bookmarked the search page.
I liked slashmysearch it comes up with good sites when you are searching for a certain item . i liked how fast it found the sites too.
....its excellent.....when u type in what your searching for..it gives a list as to...Relase dates..pics..screenshots..specs..news...n so on..and then the ebay typo is great for ppl who arent sure wat they looking 4 is correct...I give it a 10 outta 10
I like the word suggestion that pops up. It's cool.
I had my doubts at first but that's actually REALLY awesome. Great way to find some steals.
Pages loaded up fast and I like the search suggestions to help eliminate typos.
I really like the eBay typos feature. I have used FatFingers in the past, but like yours better. I also liked the web feature. I'm strictly a Google user and one of the things I like the most is the previews, so I really like how you're incorporated that and will be switching.
The keyword suggest is very thorough (it included such terms as "Commdore PET" and "Unununium"), amazing!!
That's a very interesting feature!! I like the dropdown with suggestions for the word you are entering and the Ebay typo search is more thorough than anything else I am aware of on the net. Perhaps in addition to switched letters, perhaps left out letters in common merchandise may be beneficial (such as I searched for necklae instead of necklace).
The regular eBay search was very quick - brought me straight to the e-bay sight with the items I was looking for. The eBay typo search was neat - it went to eBay and showed a huge list of possible typos (none of which were actually found) - so that was neat in case you search for something that is misspelled a lot. I never would have know that was there - I use eBay every so often and never realized you could search like that.
I searched for "stride rite" with eBay Typo and found some lots of boys shoes that were cheaper than I can usually find on eBay. It is definitely something I'll try especially for items that are more than a couple bucks...very cool!
This is a great feature. I'll use it all the time.
Works great. I like the previews next to the hits.
I used a place name "Port Charlotte" for the ebay search and a normal web search. I was hoping to find objects for sale by sellers in my home city. The ebay search brought up a lot of real estate, and not many actual items, but I was still impressed by the quantity. When I did the normal web search I was very happy to see the thumbnails on the side of my results. It really helps to be able to search through the formats I know I won't like anyway.
I loved it!! I entered a search word that I always search for on e-bay and was given two pages of that item that are mispelled in the title. I would have never found them if not for this!! Thanks so much!
Hello! I really like the clean look of your search engine's results page, especially the preview thumnails. I never knew how much seeing a snapshot might affect the links I decide to click. I also appreciate the dynamic dropdown menus as I type my query into your search box, though I was a bit chagrinned to see the search already underway as soon as I clicked on one of the items in that dropdown list. I didn't have a chance to select "eBay typo" until after the web search had completed. (We're talking a fraction of a second here, but it was odd to have the site doing something I hadn't asked it to do.) As for the results, I was impressed with all the variances your engine came up with to search at eBay. While it didn't find me a mispelled rare, signed, 1st edition of a George R.R. Martin book, I am confident that it would have done so if one was out there to be found. I will definitely bookmark your site for my personal searches in the future.
I like it!!! I have already saved it to my favorites.
Very interesting. I searched the term 'coin' and chose eBay Typo. Lots of articles in regards to 'con'. No hidden treasure on this try...however, I think this is a pretty nice idea.
I like this feature, since there are many times where misspelling can lead you to miss opportunities on Ebay. I also like how it tkes you right to the items, not having to wade through all the different catagories to get there.
Wow - I really like the eBay typo search. I tried both searches (eBay and eBay typo) and they are both quick and really easy - no glitches, and the results returned are exactly what I'm used to seeing on eBay. Nice job, guys! Thanks, & I'll use this!
I really enjoyed experimenting with your eBay Typo service. My husband is constantly looking for items with misspelled words on eBay that allow him to win auctions for much less than an item that is spelled correctly. He will love your site!! I wondered where you got your list of common misspellings? Is that some type of computer program? The example I used first was "Acquire" - a popular board game that is rare. Although the eBay typo did not turn up any additional items, I can see where it would be valuable. Thanks for this great new tool.
Wow - that was amazing! I did an eBay Typo search for bearz to see what would happen since I was not familiar with this concept and when i looked at the return it was fabulous. It looked up bears AND items that just said bear - understanding that maybe the z was not supposed to be there or maybe it should have been an s! That is brilliant. I really like that you can then look in the search box to see what exactly it included - this way, you can see what the correct spelling - the Oops, didn't mean to hit that z or Oops that should be an s - and then refine your search this way. That is better than if it just gave you the results without telling you what it looked up. I like this idea a lot because often when you are looking for something on eBay it is a little more obscure so spelling may be difficult. Plus, people who list things may mispell in their listings - I know I am horrible at spelling - so this would provide a "catch all" for those of us who just never understood that whole i before e thing! Thanks so much!
I typed in the word "television". Immediately, a drop-down box appeared with my word and other words that might be associated with such a search. Seem like a good feature. The ebay typo search produced a lot of products I otherwise could not have found because the seller misspelled the word I was searching for. Good job!
This new feature certainly makes it more convienient in searching for items. I was really impressed with this new search. It works very well. Keep up the good work!
I really enjoyed your site. The suggested search terms were very helpful, and actually encouraged me to look up things that I had been thinking about looking up, but never had. For instance, I started out looking for 'pumpkin seeds', but I ended up looking at pumpkin pie recipes, too. It's a great site!
I've done this manually for some time. This is a nice feature to incorporate. Thank you.
I was impressed by this search engine. It took me straight to the page I wanted. Usually when you use a search engine for a site like eBay or Amazon, you have to click through several other pages to get to the products you are looking for, but this one took me right there.
I really liked the Typo feature- I searched for both a toaster oven and a Coach bag and found it very useful.
Works fine, I cannot think of any other way to improve it. I tried searching on cabel modem (as opposed to cable modem) and it provided more alternate spellings than I could have imagined.
I used your site and I have to say I am really impressed. I typed in Bay City for a search item. It is the city in which I reside in Michigan. It also gave suggested searches for the Bay City Times, our local newspaper, the Bay City Rollers, a rock band, and a few others. I then clicked search so it would do an ebay search. It worked great. I dont know how the search works, but it works great! I can not think of any improvements I would make to it at this time.
Bookmarked! Love the idea, especially the eBay Typo. Those poor sellers must be wondering why no one bids on their items. Only drawback is it's a little bit slow but not too slow. That can also be due to my unstable dsl connection though.
This is an awesome search. Much easier than using e-Bays. No suggestions. Excellent as it is. Unless you want to add more databases. :-)
Wow, very impressive - nice layout, intuitive - which in my opinion is the main thing.
I did a search for "sidekick 3" using the "ebay" as the type. It worked out very well and the search was accurate.
Very nice search engine! Seems powerful enough, I like the keyword suggestions feature. Pages load very quickly after you submit the search.
That was very quick, and found most of the relevant items on eBay that I was searching for.
Its very nice that even if you misspell the word it will still bring up what you are looking for.
Searched for dinosaur for my dino crazy son. The page loaded super fast and was easy to use. I will be using this again a lot!
Ebay typo search is a great idea- worked like a charm, no problems.
I think it's interesting that this search engine picks up different results than a Google search of the same terms do.
Very fast and helpful. Really like the thumbnail previews.
I like how it gives other suggestions. I LOVE the little pictures you get though. That rocks!
Information with pictures was great...
The screenshots of the target site are cool. Thanks!
This search worked very well! Keep up the good work!
I like the thumbnails of the web pages in the list of results.
The thumbnailes are a great idea
I like the dropdown menu with the suggestions. It helps to know if you are spelling the words right and also to hav suggestions. I like the suggestions in link form at the top of the page. It is helpful to see other suggestions.
I really liked the previews on the left, they are incredibly useful if you're searching for a webpage you have visited before and you don't remember the address.
The search results go straight to the heart of the search, the best I've seen. I do believe the technology has promise. As search results are refined even further I think it will be quite useful. I have bookmarked your site and will be referring my friends to it.
I like the thumbnail previews of the web pages on your search page. Even more, I like the quality of results returned!
The search engine is really quick with returning the results and the thubnail preview of the sites is very helpful.
Was quick and corrected my spelling correctly.
I really love the mini previews of the various search results. It makes the need for 3rd party preview add-ons (*trademark obfuscated*, for example) null. I also like the rating system, it seemed fairly accurate. Nice work, keep it up!
I like the thumbnail approach to the results offered.
I LOVEe the little images that are the preview of what the page looks like! I did a search for Maxim Magazine and now I can really quickly scan the images and see if the result is just another hit from their website, or if the hit is from somewhere else. That is really cool! It made it a lot easier to find news about maxim that are not put out from the website itself - cutting the search time in half - if not more! I really like this idea - the tiny preview image is really cool and I thought the site was easier to use than google!
In my opinion, it is very interesting to have a snapshot of the web site along with the serach results. It also gives the page rank which will give you an idea of the quality and popularity of the web site. you can make partial decision to visit or not visit a web site from the search results page itself.
The search was very quick and I like the thumbnails of the websites that's included. There were a few entries that weren't relevant to what I was searching for, but much less than other search engines.
I liked the speed of the results, over a million and a half results in under 2 seconds. Not that I would ever need that many results. The Page ranking and the thumbnails of the web sites is something that would bring me back again and again.
Overall I had tried today to find something on aol search that I just found much easier here on slashmysearch.com.
Very good results (no ads or junk information links).
I like the thumbnail previews and the site rating gauge. Interface is simple & easy to use.
Offered a variety of sources for my broad interest.
I like seeing the web page image. Maybe more text from each site would help.
I enjoyed seeing a preview of the site before clicking on it. I was able to scroll until I found the site I wanted.
I like the design and the general layout of the site. Great job with the search engine!
I love the thumbnails and ranking!
I like the images of the websites being automatically visible.
I was happy to find a lot of sources outside the mainstream commercial sites (i.e. instead of getting lots of Amazon and B&N links, I found smaller, perhaps individually created pages with written essays, lists, or similar content).
I REALLY like how you can see thumbnails of what the pages look like. It's cool and very unique.
Easy to navigate. Clean looking. Top sites were okay, but could have been more targeted to individual businesses which is was i was looking for. Lots of schools etc. rather than individual coaches. Overall a great experience!
I love the thumbnails, they make pages easy to remember and recognize. Also the extra suggestions for searches give interesting results.
I like the screenshots of the webpages on the left side; they if you remember what a page looks like but not the url (as I often do). The drop down box is also interesting, but it usually seems to suggest keywords that aren't even remotely close.
I liked the "also try" suggestions. Very nice. As was the "auto completion" as I typed in search terms.
I liked the concept of your site and the promise delivered of a "better search".
Well, I did comment before but I just wanted to say that the results for this search were very satisfying. "Online videos" was my search term and I consider it to be both somewhat vague and vulnerable to spamming. I was glad to see a mix of both online video stores and web sites where you can watch videos online.
I like the predictive element to this search engine it helps with correct spelling and speed.
Using this search engine is a delight; one can finally find that which they cannot for the amount of irrelevent search returns from the likes of google.
The engine was quick. One of the links provided was garbage (bad link and did not make sense) but the others were links that I was familiar with. I also found many new, quality results I have never seen before. Thanks!
I like the UI with the page preview and the way the result highlights before you select it.
Thumbnails are awesome, nice job!
I like the images on the side and the fact you can choose from the very first page where to search.
The search was pretty quick, I liked the drop down box that "finishes" your thought for you, it should appear a little more quickly (I had typed syst before it popped up). I also likehwo your site is relatively uncluttered with few ads. I also dig the name of the search engine.
I love that you have a quick look of the page next to the results because it gives a better idea of whether or not that's what you're looking for and whether the website is any help.
I have tried search engines before, and the feature of complete the keyword is good is helpful. I have seen that feature only on sites to search for videos or music. I think this site is a nice and different search engine. I will be using it a lot!
The layout and look of the search page was minimalistic, which I prefer. The drop down list is an interesting feature and I love the thumbnails and eBay search!
I like the suggestions at the top. For my search of boston you suggested universities and sports teams in the city along with some historical information. That is a nice feature.
I liked the small image of the websites that were found with the search.
I really liked the pics of the websites--it saved me a lot of wasted time checking deplicate sites.
I liked the ratings and the little preview pictures along with the Also try links.
I like the preview (thumbnail) of what the found page will look like.
Overall I found Slash My Search to be pretty neat. Doing the same search on another search engine provided many irrevelent responses. I really liked the relevancy rating being a little green bar instead of just a number that could get lost among the other info.
Very user friendly and easy to use.
I like the the drop down box suggesting keywords when you start typing, even thought my search didn't need it.
I really liked the drop down feature when you first type in your search word. the sites seem to be very informative and genuine. I also like the page ranking number.
I love the ability to return to search results after viewing a website. Incredibly helpful!
I liked the "also try" suggestions. These helped me to change my search from "high fiber diet" which showed me why to use a high fiber diet to "high fiber diet plan" which showed me what to eat.
I found this website quick and easy to use. I really appreciated the suggested keywords (I was amazed to see jobs in Wausau Wisconsin as one of the suggested keywords). I use ask.com and google quite frequently and neither of those sites offer the keyword prediction. I will be switching to Slash My Search! I also liked the view of the webpage.
I luv that it starts to guess what you're searching for as you type. I also like teh preview next to each page found for the search.
I like how it has pictures of the website. So you can see if it is what you might be interested in. I think that it is altogether an incredible experience. I typed in mustard and got links for mustard seed jewelry. Something I would have never thought of.
I thought it was a pretty good search engine as a lot of links about the television show came up, which is what I was looking for.
The results in my search where pretty fast.
I like the drop-down feature for suggesting search words and the pages preview.
I liked the inclusion of the thumbnails of the applicable sites.
I really like the drop down box idea. Sometimes I am not quite sure how to search for something and the drop down would be really helpful.
I like the way there was a preview picture of the site!
I started typing Britney Spears and it popped up on the drop down which was great.
Good interface, intuitive use. Suggestions are nice. Ads were not intrusive, only present.
